Family Christmas

Turn a favorite family photograph into a hand-painted Christmas keepsake created especially for you.

Your family will be recreated from behind against the solid background color of your choice. Keep the portrait simple with a solid-color background for $30, or add a hand-painted Christmas tree behind your family for $35.

The listed price includes up to five family members. For families of six or more, please submit a custom ornament request before purchasing so I can confirm that everyone will fit comfortably and provide an exact price.

If you would like a different background scene or an element other than the Christmas tree shown, please submit a custom ornament request before purchasing. This allows me to make sure your idea will fit the ornament and provide an exact price before you commit.

Rather than copying the photograph exactly, I’ll use each person’s hair, relative height, clothing and other recognizable details to create the portrait in my own art style.

Please upload one clear group photograph. A picture taken from behind works best, but a clear front-facing photograph is also accepted. When working from a front-facing photo, I’ll use some artistic liberty to imagine how everyone should appear from behind.

You may keep everyone’s clothing colors similar to the photograph or request a coordinated color scheme. Coordinated colors generally create the strongest finished composition, but the choice is completely yours. If you aren’t sure which background will work best with the clothing colors, choose “artist’s choice,” and I’ll select one that complements the finished portrait.

Each wooden ornament measures approximately 3.5 to 4 inches and is individually drawn and painted by hand. Small variations are a natural part of the process and make every family portrait one of a kind.
